Visitor Procedures

Dear Ignite - Garland Parents,

As an extra safety precaution, every visitor to Ignite Community School - Garland should be prepared to take the following steps before they are admitted into the building:

1.) Ring the buzzer at the front of the school building.
2.) State their purpose for visiting and whom they are here to see.
3.) Produce identification prior to being granted entrance.
4.) Provide identification to the front desk to receive a Visitor's Badge and sign in the visitor's log.
5.) Upon leaving the building the Visitor's Badge MUST be returned to the front desk to be discarded and signed out.

Visitors must have an appointment. Please refrain from coming to the school to meet a staff member without a scheduled appointment.
When you enter the building, DO NOT hold the door for others behind you. They, too, will be asked to state the purpose of their visit.
Please remember that if you need to pick up your children earlier than the scheduled dismissal time, you must notify the office prior to 2:30 p.m.

It is important that everyone understands that the security measures that we have in place are to protect the safety of our students, staff, and school building. Please note that no one will be given access to our building without presenting a current driver’s license and/or photo ID card.

Thank you for your cooperation.
