Who We Are

Our Program

Our interest is in educating the whole person, instilling both knowledge and values that will serve both the student and our society in years to come. For this reason, we are committed to providing not only quality education but also training in character growth.

At Garland Classical Academy, our educational vision recognizes the value of each child as a person and each parent as their primary educator. While teaching virtuous conduct and offering a generous curriculum, we prioritize the value of respecting and building the child’s dignity as an individual while offering them an atmosphere that reflects truth, goodness, and beauty. Children have a natural appetite for knowledge, and we seek to offer sustenance for the child’s mind by creating a rich intellectual environment for students to develop connections between all subjects.
Our priority is to cultivate a lifelong love of learning and virtuous character, within the nurturing context of a 21st Century classical education. As a charter school, our mission is to provide hope through a high-quality and accessible educational option to parents and students. As you choose Garland Classical Academy, we look forward to partnering with you in the education of your child.
With Warmest Regards,
Mr. Matthew Haid, M.Ed.

Visitor Procedures

Dear GCA Parents,

As an extra safety precaution every visitor to Garland Classical Academy should be prepared to take the following steps before they are admitted into the building:

1.) Ring the buzzer at the front of the school building.
2.) State their purpose for visiting and whom they are here to see.
3.) Produce identification prior to being granted entrance.
4.) Provide identification to the front desk to receive a Visitor's Badge and sign-in the visitor's log.
5.) Upon leaving the building the Visitor's Badge MUST be returned to the front desk to be discarded and signed out.

Visitors must have an appointment. Please refrain from coming to the school to meet a staff member without a scheduled appointment.
When you enter the building, DO NOT hold the door for others behind you. They, too, will be asked to state the purpose of their visit.
Please remember that if you need to pick up your children earlier than scheduled dismissal time, you must notify the office prior to 2:30pm.

It is important that everyone understands that our security measures that we have in place are to protect the safety of our students, staff and school building. Please note that no one will be given access to our building without presenting a current driver’s license and/or photo ID card.

Thank you for your cooperation.
